The sale is agreed, the bond approved, and then someone asks for the solar CoC. Nobody has one, the system was never registered, and the seller has moved province.
Anywhere in South Africa, we arrange for a CleanVolts Approved partner to assess the system, usually within 48 hours, with a written, photographed report for the file. Then we match the seller with an approved installer for any work, so the transfer isn't left waiting.

Priced for the size of the system, and confirmed before anyone comes out.
A report for the file
Written and photographed. If the system does not pass, a clear list of what needs attention before transfer and an itemised quote for the work.
The CoC, sorted
A CleanVolts Approved installer, contracted directly by the seller, does any work and issues the Certificate of Compliance.
What's Checked
- The system as installed, against SANS requirements
- A thermal scan of connections, DB boards and isolators
- DC cabling, earthing, bonding and isolators
- Battery mounting, isolation and state of health, where there is storage
- Labelling and documentation
- SSEG registration status with the municipality or Eskom, and what it takes to fix it if there is none
Why Solar Is Becoming a Transfer Problem
More systems went up in 2022 and 2023 than could be installed properly, and few were registered. Those houses are now selling, just as insurers ask for compliance documents and municipalities enforce registration.
It will get more common, not less. We deal with whoever keeps it moving: the seller, the buyer, or you.
