Who We Are
CleanVolts is a small solar audit and maintenance business based in Blairgowrie, Johannesburg, and founded by Tony Lopes, a solar entrepreneur working towards Installation Electrician qualification status.
We do one thing properly rather than everything badly: we inspect solar systems that are already installed, tell homeowners the truth about them, and get them fixed and registered.
How We Work
CleanVolts handles the client side — the site visit, the inspection, the report, the quote, ordering components, coordinating the job and following up afterwards.
The electrical work is carried out and signed off by a registered electrical contractor working alongside us. They issue the Certificate of Compliance, because that is who is legally entitled to.
That split is deliberate and we say so openly. You are getting a project managed properly and electrical work done by someone qualified to do it.
Components at Cost
We charge a project management fee. Components are supplied at cost, and you see what they cost.
Most installers make their margin on the hardware, which quietly pushes every recommendation towards a bigger system. Ours does not, which is why we are comfortable telling you that you do not need one.
Where We Work
Blairgowrie, Linden, Randburg, Ferndale, Northcliff, Fairland, Emmarentia, Greenside, Parkhurst and the suburbs around them. Northern Johannesburg, in other words — close enough that we can be at a stuck transfer quickly.
