About CleanVolts
CleanVolts is a South African solar brand founded by Tony Lopes in Johannesburg. We connect homes, businesses and farms with vetted, registered installers, so you can cut your bill with solar you can trust.
Too many people have been burned by installers who disappeared after the job. We check the installers, match you with the right one, and stay your point of contact long after installation.
Why CleanVolts Exists
"I'm Tony Lopes. My mission is to help all South Africans save money and enjoy low-cost energy from the bountiful South African sun to power their homes and cars, and create a cleaner, better future for all."
Tony Lopes, founder
How We Work
An approved installer does the job
They assess, quote, supply, install, register the system and issue the CoC. You contract with them directly.
We stay involved
If something goes wrong, tell us and we follow it up. Installers who don't look after our clients stop getting referrals.
How CleanVolts Earns
You should know how anyone who advises you gets paid, so here is exactly how we do.
Free for you
Getting matched with an installer through CleanVolts costs you nothing.
Referral fees from partners
When you go ahead with an approved installer, rental or finance provider, they pay us a referral fee. We tell you upfront and it doesn't change your price. A partner who slips stops getting referrals, whatever they pay.
Our own services
If you already have solar, we may charge for a Health Check or audit, always confirmed in writing before anyone comes out.
What we never do: hold stock or mark up components, take a commission we haven't told you about, or lend money or rent out systems ourselves. If you finance or rent, the agreement is between you and that provider.
Where We Work
Across Gauteng through our CleanVolts Approved installers. Elsewhere in South Africa, send us your details and we'll match you with an approved partner where we have one in your area, usually within one working day, and tell you straight away if we don't yet. Areas we serve.
