Get a Second Opinion First We don't sell new installations yet. We spend our days on systems other people installed, many of them in a hurry during the load-shedding rush, and we see what happens when the design is wrong or the quote cut corners. That makes us useful before you sign. We can look over the quote you've been given, tell you what we'd question, and introduce you to a registered installer we have vetted ourselves. We'll tell you whether the system is sized for how your household actually uses power, whether the components hang together, which line items look light or padded, and what is missing that should be there, such as the Certificate of Compliance, SSEG registration and proper labelling. You get it back in writing. **An introduction to a vetted installer.** If you don't have a quote yet, or don't trust the ones you have, we'll introduce you to a registered installer from our network. Before we recommend anyone, we check their registration and category, their wireman's licence, their letter of good standing with the Compensation Fund and their public liability cover, and we speak to their clients. ## What to Look for in Any Solar Quote - A system sized from your actual bills and how you use power, not a standard package - Every component named by make and model, not "5 kW inverter" - A Certificate of Compliance issued by a registered person, in writing, as part of the job - SSEG registration with City Power included, or clearly listed as your responsibility - DC isolators, surge protection and labelling itemised - Warranty terms for the components and for the workmanship, separately If a quote is vague on any of these, ask. If the answer is vague too, that tells you something. ## Our Honest Position  We are not the installer, and we don't pretend to be. If we introduce you to an installer and you go ahead, we may receive a referral fee from them. We'll tell you before you decide, and it never changes what we tell you about a quote.  ## After It's Installed  A new system is still worth watching.
