# Solar Quotes for Your Home, Business or Farm

## What do you need a quote for?
- **[A home](https://cleanvolts.co.za/solar-quotes#home-quote):** backup, a lower bill, or both. Most homes land between R90,000 and R145,000.
- **[A business, factory, warehouse or estate](https://cleanvolts.co.za/solar-quotes#business-quote):** sized from your electricity bills, and installed by a commercial installer.
- **[A farm, game farm or lodge](https://cleanvolts.co.za/solar-quotes#business-quote):** pumping, irrigation, cold rooms and homesteads, whether you're on Eskom or diesel.
## How does getting a solar quote through CleanVolts work?
1. **Tell us about the property.** Use the home form or the business and farm form below. A recent electricity bill helps most. On prepaid, a few months of token purchases will do.
2. **We match you with a CleanVolts Approved installer.** Every installer in the network is a registered electrical contractor who meets the [CleanVolts Approved](https://cleanvolts.co.za/cleanvolts-approved?hsLang=za) standard. We pick one who covers your area and does your kind of job.
3. **The installer visits and quotes.** They look at your roof, your distribution board and your bills, then send a written quote with every component named by make and model.
4. **You compare and decide.** If you already have other quotes, send them too and we'll help you line them up on system size, battery and inverter, and what each one includes. There's no obligation.
5. **The installer does the work and signs it off.** You contract with the installer directly. They install the system, issue the Certificate of Compliance and handle registration with your municipality or Eskom, and we stay your point of contact throughout.
## What does a fair solar quote look like?
Two quotes with very different totals are often two very different systems. A quote you can compare fairly:
- names every panel, inverter and battery by make and model
- shows the protection (DC isolators, surge protection, fusing and earthing) as its own lines, not hidden in "sundries"
- includes the Certificate of Compliance and your grid-connection (SSEG) application
- uses an inverter on your municipality's approved list
- states the manufacturer and workmanship warranties, the deposit and how long the price holds
- is based on a site visit, not just a phone call

## How much does a solar system cost in 2026?
For a properly installed home system, expect roughly:

Who signs off the installation?
